Fast Fire or Raku

This firing involves heating work to between 1500 and 1800 degrees, depending on the results desired. The work is removed and placed into reduction; usually a trash can with newspaper or sawdust, causing a blackening effect on the unglazed portions of the work. Raku fired work is NOT functional, and not watertight.
